Electric vehicle में 4WD system देखना अब तक rare था Indian market में। Mahindra XEV 9e में है लेकिन वो ₹30 lakh से ऊपर है।
Harrier EV का 4WD variant competitive price पर आया है। ₹28.99 lakh ex-showroom की बात हो रही है।
मैंने Tata के engineers से बात की। Technology के बारे में समझा। Test drive भी किया।
आज मैं आपको complete details दूंगा। यह 4WD system क्या है। कैसे काम करता है। किसके लिए useful है।
Price worth है या नहीं? Normal 2WD से कितना फायदा मिलेगा? सब कुछ clear हो जाएगा।
Quad Wheel Drive क्या होता है
सबसे पहले basics समझते हैं। 4-wheel drive यानी चारों पहिए power पाते हैं।
Normal cars में सिर्फ आगे के दो पहिए या पीछे के दो पहिए driven होते हैं। बाकी दो सिर्फ घूमते हैं।
Harrier EV 4WD में चारों wheels को independently power जाती है। दो electric motors हैं – एक आगे, एक पीछे।

Tata ने सुनी। 4WD variant develop किया। November 2025 में announce किया।
December 2025 में deliveries शुरू हो गईं। अब तक लगभग 500+ units deliver हो चुकी हैं।

Mैंने खुद test drive किया। Experience share कर रहा हूं।

SKIP the 4WD if:
- Pure city use है – 90%+ driving urban

Standard 2WD variants भी excellent हैं। 4WD specialized use case के लिए है।
अगर doubt है तो 2WD लो। पैसे बचेंगे। Later regret नहीं होगा।
लेकिन अगर adventure करना pasand है और budget allows करता है – 4WD unique experience है। Future-proof भी है।
